The selling of Marijuana is illegal in most of the countries. But it is the world’s most often used illegal drug available to people in black markets with different names like Blunt, Grass, Herb, Pot, Reefer, Marijuana, Weed, Ganja, etc. Marijuana is common name of cannabis, and is a dry, shredded green and brown mix of flowers, stems, seeds, and leaves derived from the hemp plant Cannabis sativa.
Humans have been consuming cannabis since prehistory, although it is in the 20th century that it was used to its maximum extent for recreational, medicinal and religious or spiritual purposes.
Marijuana is usually smoked as a cigarette (joint) or in a pipe. It is also smoked directly using cigars by emptying tobacco and refilling with marijuana. As an alternative to smoking, cannabis may be consumed orally. However, the cannabis or its extract must be sufficiently heated intoxicate cannabinoid, tetrahydrocannabinolic acid present in it, into psychoactive THC. Marijuana can be easily detected using drug test kits or laboratory methods like most other drugs.
Cannabis smoke contains more toxic substances than tobacco smoke. Marijuana intoxication can cause distorted perceptions, impaired coordination, difficulty in thinking and problem solving, and problems with learning and memory.
