Therapy Effective for Cocaine Dependence

Treatment is taken by the majority of individuals who smoke crack. Abuse and addiction of cocaine is a complex problem and it causes biological changes in the brain, familial, social , environmental factors. So cocaine treatment is complex. These social, psychobiological, and pharmacological aspects of the patients’ drug abuse are needed for cocaine treatment strategies.

Behavioral Interventions:
For cocaine addiction, there are many behavioral treatments that have been developed and these are effective for cocaine addiction. Yet there is no viable medication for drug problems, but for these problems behavioral therapies are effective treatment approaches.

Any way for treating addiction,integration of both types of treatments is finally the best effective approach. For many cocaine addicted populations, this behavioral therapy component is showing positive results.
